This is a person with a specific disease or condition who receives treatment from a health care provider, or any Registered birth. This may be a person, which includes neonates (babies less than 28 days old), who:

uses a hospital bed in order to receive clinical care/treatment |
|
b) |
attends a clinic, day care facility, etc. |
|
c) |
receives care in the community under a specific health care contract forming part of "nursing care in the community". |
|
d) |
is on the elective admission list awaiting elective admission. |
