A patient who attends a day care facility and who resides other than in hospital and not on home leave. Includes attendances made following discharge for a patient whose previous attendances occurred whilst using a hospital bed.
Regular attendee episode: A period of care for a regular day attendee attending one or more day care facilities of a health care provider within a particular day care function.

Number of regular day attendees "on the register at the end of the period" includes all those currently attending.
