The School Entry Hearing Screening data is collected on the screening form by hearing screeners at the point of testing. The screening form is completed continuously at every patient contact to provide to manage the pathway for individual children and record the outcome of screening. This data is then inputted into CYPrIS.
Once a year (November) Health Boards will use the data extracted from CYPrIS by DCHW to report against the performance indicators by January of the following year. This will be submitted to All Wales Audiology Heads of Service for review and reporting to Welsh Government.
Data is submitted to Welsh Government by manually completing the ‘School Entry Hearing Screening performance indicators response form’, an MS Forms proforma, by 31st of January 2024.
