A classification of service arrangement change to record the reason for a change in the health care arrangement to apply to a service provided.

During an elective wait, there may be a change of commissioner, for example, a patient may move house while waiting for admission into hospital. Alternatively there may be a change in contractual arrangements with the same commissioner. Changes of commissioner result in a service arrangement change. A service arrangement change does not apply to a change of provider. A provider change would always require a new decision to admit with the patient being placed on a new elective admission list.
