To remove waits for certain diagnostic endoscopies from the waiting times data collection for inpatient and day case admissions and first outpatient appointments (PP01W). |
A Breach is when a patient's wait exceeds that target's waiting time. A target is set so no patient should wait longer than # weeks. Therefore, any patient waiting in the weeks wait bands of # or above would be classified as a breach.
For example, if a target was set for a maximum wait of 15 weeks, any waits recorded in the weeks wait bands of 15 and above would be classified as a breach and any waits recorded in the week’s wait of 0 to 14 would not be a breach.
