Clinical Handover Time is when Accident and Emergency clinical staff take clinical responsibility for the patient.
For patients that arrived at the Accident and Emergency Department via Ambulance, this is the time that the Ambulance Crew is no longer clinically responsible for the patient and is free to return to the Ambulance.
