Clinical Handover Time is the time when the Accident and Emergency clinical staff take clinical responsibility for the patient.

For patients that arrived at the Accident and Emergency Department via Ambulance, this is the time the Ambulance Crew are no longer clinically responsible for the patient and are free to return to the Ambulance.
